“Writing isn’t about making money, getting famous, getting dates, getting laid, or making friends. In the end, it’s about enriching the lives of those who will read your work, and enriching your own life, as well. It’s about getting up, getting well, and getting over. Getting happy, okay? Getting happy.”  -Stephen King

“Writing may or may not be your salvation; it might or might not be your destiny. But that does not matter. What matters right now are the words, one after another. Find the next word. Write it down.” –Neil Gaiman

“Any writer worth his salt writes to please himself… It’s a self-exploratory operation that is endless. An exorcism of not necessarily his demon, but of his divine discontent.” – Harper Lee

“Why am I compelled to write? . . . Because the world I create in the writing compensates for what the real world does not give me. By writing I put order in the world, give it a handle so I can grasp it…” –Gloria E. Anzaldúa

“Writing is thinking. It is more than living, for me it is conscious living.” –Anne Morrow Lindbergh

“Writing is the only thing that when I do it, I don’t feel I should be doing something else.” –Gloria Steinem

The day is still quite young, my lovely readers, so I am planning to put up a few more posts by days end. I am crazy behind on some post obligations that are actually contractual that I have to do so I am going to start doing to do today until I get them finished. Please bear with me. My surgery and recovery has been extremely rough on me and the pain afterwards has been agonizing plus I haven’t been sleeping well and there has been other personal stress and family stuff going on but those really aren’t good excuses. Time to catch buckle down and catch up! More laterz!  🙂
