MeHello. My name is Heather Warner. I am a homemaker, happily married with a step-son.  I am also a writer/blogger, and a pro photographer. I am trying to start my own fledgling photography business.

I enjoy the outdoors and would prefer to be out-of-doors when I can.  There, I can indulge in many pursuits that I enjoy such as photography, collecting and identifying wildflowers and other flora and fauna, hiking, camping, walking, horseback riding, and camping.  As much as I love photography, I must admit I am not very good at it.  I also enjoy taking pictures of my fiancée and his son while outside doing whatever activities they do(which is a lot of fishing).  You can see all those moments and more captured on Serene View Photography.  Every moment is a photo opportunity.  Though I prefer to photography landscapes, wildlife, animals, and still lifes, once in awhile I also do some digital art online such as making memes, etc.  I am also working on portrait photography too.  My inspiration is Ansell Adams.

I love to write too.  On occasion I will write poetry, but my true passion lies in writing short fiction and novellas.  I generally write fiction.  One day I hope to have a collection of my writings published.  I also like to write short pieces of creative fiction on subjects that interest me so I gain more knowledge on the topic.  I like to learn at every opportunity I get.  One should never, ever cease to learn.  This is how The Backwater Primer was born.

This blog is both a journal of a personal journey as well as a repository of some of the writings of short fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and research editorials. I also do occasional ’bouts’ of product reviews that not only are prudent and of interest to me, but I strongly believe that will not only interest my readership, but will also benefit them as well.

Thanks for visiting! I really hope you enjoy your stay and follow to stay up to date for more to come here on The Backwater Primer.
